Indian Hill Music School Faculty Opening - Suzuki Piano and Suzuki Violin Teacher Start date: September 5, 2017 Indian Hill Music School, a community music school in Littleton MA, with a faculty of 60+ professional teaching artists, has an opening in the fall for a part-time Suzuki Piano and Suzuki Violin Teacher to teach weekly private lessons and required group classes in a brand new Suzuki program. Indian Hill Music faculty members are responsible for: 1) inspiring and sharing their love of music with their students; 2) setting a high bar for students’ levels of technical skill and musicality; 3) clearly communicating expectations and working toward shared goals; and 4) advocating for their students to engage in additional IHM programs to deepen their musical development and their commitment to their studies. Ideal candidates should have a degree in music and a minimum of three years of teaching experience, and be comfortable working with all ages, particularly children as young as 3.5 years old (though our stated age minimum for the Suzuki program will be four years). Regular weekly teaching throughout the school year is required, as is attendance at two annual meetings and occasional clerical tasks.
