Lincoln School, founded in 1884 is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We are currently looking for an experienced and versatile music teacher to work with the Performing Arts faculty as a maternity leave substitute from December 2018-March 2019. Specific dates subject to some change.
Qualified candidates will have experience and an enthusiasm for working with both Middle and High school age students. Responsibilities will include serving as choral director for our Middle School chorus, a small Upper School vocal ensemble, working with three groups of rock band students, teaching 6th and 7th grade general music classes, and serving as the music director for Lincoln’s Winter Musical.
A sense of humor, enthusiasm to collaborate with colleagues, and commitment to an all-girls environment are essential. Contributions to school life beyond the classroom are expected, as is the ability to embrace and forward the Quaker mission of Lincoln School.
