POSITION: Seeking DYNAMIC Music Teachers. Candidates with additional teaching skills in a secondary instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, voice, strings, etc.) will have increased success in maintaining 10-30 hours of weekly employment.
LOCATION: Westborough MA; a community vibrant in the arts, education and sports.
ABOUT US: In its 15th year of business, New England Music Academy prides itself in excellence, providing instruction for students in the areas of piano, voice, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, early childhood music, beginner music classes and more. We average 10 instructors whom are university trained, exceptional and dedicated individuals. Our schedule allows for faculty to take summers off or work through to secure solid year-round income.
HOURS: Monday – Thursday 3:00 – 8:00pm; Friday – 3:00 – 7:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm;
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Availability to instruct at least 5-10 hours of private and group instruction. Encourage regular student performance opportunities on behalf of the academy. Participate in academy events (e.g. student recitals, student festivals, student performances, academy events, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in Music, preferable Piano and/or Music Education with 2-3 years prior teaching experience. Skills: Role model, integrity, charisma, superb communicator, patient, encouraging, reinforcing.
SALARY: Commensurate with training and experience, retention, quality of instruction, number of students and demonstrated student progress.
