The Pembroke Public Schools is seeking an outstanding elementary music educator for a full-time position at the Bryantville Elementary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptionally strong skills as an educator and musician. They will work collaboratively as part of a team of talented and dedicated school and Performing Arts Department faculty members. A strong background in the major elementary general music methodologies, singing, and elementary level repertoire and materials is essential. The successful candidate will exhibit dynamic interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students, and maintain and enhance enthusiastic participation in music making in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment. Responsibilities of the position include teaching general music classes for students in grades K-6, and chorus for students in grades 4-6. There is separate stipend compensation for directing the chorus during in-school and evening performances. Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Music PK-12 is required. The position is a full-time contractual position with full benefits and will commence in the Fall of 2019. The contractual start date is August 28, 2019. However, new teachers must attend several days of training and orientation at the end of August.
