Position Type: Middle School Teaching/Music - Band Date Posted: 5/14/2020 Location: Elm Street Middle School Re-posted as full time POSITION: Music Teacher - Band LOCATION: Elm Street Middle School REPORTS TO: Principal WORK YEAR: School year STARTING: 2020-2021 school year SALARY RANGE: Teacher salary and benefits $40884-$82,254 QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching applicants must be NH certified or eligibile to teach Instramental Music SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Three seperate bands by grade level (6,7 and 8) meet daily. Other teaching responsibilities may include beginning guitar, beginning piano and grade 6 and 7 general music. Two parades a year, after school stipend for jazz band or other ensemble. Originally this was posted as part time, however, it is now full time. A Teacher in the Nashua School District is highly qualified for the delivery of specified course content, uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively, professionally, showing respect with students and parents, expects students to learn and not fail, actively engages students in lessons that are planned around grade level expectations and enhance critical thinking skills. Teachers implement instructional strategies that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. The effective teacher inspires and empowers students in their own learning and collaborates with their peers regularly to align curriculum and enhance the instructional environment towards gains in student performance goals.
