The Stoughton Public Schools are seeking the following private music instructors for a weekly lesson program running July 5th to August 4th:
Low Brass Instructor
2 Vocal Instructors
Stipends are paid by the school district at a rate of $25/half hour ($50/hour), and are free for students. The maximum possible stipend would be $1,125 per position (4.5 hours, one day per week) but actual stipends are contingent on the number of student sign-ups. Lesson timeframes/days can be somewhat flexible based on instructor availability and/or preference.
Vocal private lessons Grades 7-12 would run in half-hour blocks anytime from 10:00am-1:30pm.
Instrumental private lessons Grades 7-12 would run in half-hour blocks anytime from 10:00am-12:30pm. The instructor would then give a one-hour beginner group lesson to students in Grades 5-6 from 12:30pm-1:30pm.
Instructors would arrive 30 minutes before their first lesson and remain on site 30 minutes after their final lesson in order to handle any supervisory needs (e.g. welcoming early arrivals, opening/setting up classrooms, walking elementary students to another summer program at the end of the day and/or returning them to parents). Instructors would be compensated at the regular lesson rate for these supervisory times as well.
We intend to establish a final lesson schedule by the end of May. Please contact John Mange at firstname.lastname@example.org with your resume and availability if interested.
