Elementary General Music & Chorus Long-term Substitute
The Pembroke Public Schools is seeking an outstanding elementary music educator for a full-time long term substitute position starting around March 1, 2023 to the end of the school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptionally strong skills as an educator and musician. They will work collaboratively as part of a team of talented and dedicated school and Performing Arts Department faculty members. A strong background in the major elementary general music methodologies (Orff, Kodaly) for grades Kindergarten to sixth grade, singing, and elementary level repertoire and materials is essential. The successful candidate will exhibit dynamic interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students, maintain and enhance enthusiastic participation in music making in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment. There is also an opportunity to direct an elementary chorus for an additional stipend.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching general music classes for students in grades K-6.
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure in Music PK-12 OR K-9 is required.
